I have translated a wide variety of materials such as novels, short stories, business promotions, ads, contracts, app descriptions, company profiles, accounting statements, Chinese learning materials etc.

I love literature and it gives me the advantage in English to Chinese translation. In my humble opinion, the Chinese language proficiency, to some extent, is the key factor when it comes to English to Chinese translation.

For me, English is not my mother language and my English writing is not as a local would write it, but I can translate English to Chinese correctly, with literary grace, as long as I understand the meaning of the English texts.

Translating is actually a culture-related work. How amazing it is to experience cultural diversity through working with people from different countries and industries!

My main work is English to Chinese novel translation, but I still hope to broaden my horizon through working at oDesk and Elance.
